THE MEDIA NEEDS TO “BEAT IT”

Let me start this off saying this is in no way, shape or form intended to be disrespectful to Michael Jackson or his family. His death is tragic and sad, much like the life he led. He has had a tremendous and lasting impact on the music industry, but, as usual, the media has embarrassed themselves with the amount of coverage they have given this story. The frenzy will only escalate once the actual funeral services are held at the Staples Center on Tuesday.

U.S.A. SITTING ON 2 TRILLION BARRELS OF OIL AS “CAP AND TRADE” THREATENS TO CRIPPLE ECONOMY AND ESCALATE ENERGY COSTS

Americans are being scammed!

The "Bakken," as it is known throughout America, is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil.  People in California, Nevada, and other states need to "wake up," and vote Pelosi, Reid and all the other traitors OUT OF OFFICE!

Regardless of 'Party affiliation.'

JULY 4TH AND JULY 12TH IN AMERICAN HISTORY

July 12th casts a shadow on our July 4th celebrations.  Happy Birthday, America!  This July 4th marks your 233rd birthday! God bless us all! There is another birthday, a centennial, on July 12th.  The 16th Amendment turns 100.

A place to encourage and to be encouraged by sharing devotions or to just be blessed from reading devotions shared by others.

THis is so true. Others will tend to listen more to your words of comfort, wisdom, or encouragement if they know you've been there. AND they can tell by the way your compassion flows, it doesn't always have to be announced that you've walked that ...
Very encouraging!

Your words "When we realize that our trials have a purpose in God's plan for our lives, they become opportunities for growth not just experiences we must endure." are so rightly true. There are many situations that occur in our lives that we can, ...

Thy First Love

Good morning, Beloved.
Before we begin a new week of revelations, of faith, and of understanding please allow me to just stop and speak encouragement to each of you where you are. The summer has already been hot, the work we have has been hard, and the tests and trials have been unrelenting. Our God, is the faithful God who keeps His covenants and His mercy with them that love him, to them that keep His commandments; not only to you and to your generation, but to a thousand generations before an… Continue

Wash Me Lord

Just a random bit of freeverse(this picture is of my two beautiful girls full of joy in the rain at the swanery at abbotsbury.

Wash me Lord
Not a little sprinkling
But a drenching dousing torrent
Soaking every part of me
Hair clothes and to the skin
Cooling refreshing invig… Continue

Let her off, Sunday's comin'

This July 4, 2009 I spent at home with our youngest son and my husband. While many were out celebrating our independence from oppressive government, I was given time to reminisce.

It’s been 25 years now that I surrendered my life to Christ. Yes, I call it surrender rather than asking Jesus into my heart, because for me, that is exactly what it was.

I was seventeen, angry, full of hate towards my father and God. I felt if God was not powerful enough to salvage my parents’ marriage, He was not p… Continue
