Welcome to the Palace Of Poets

Administrators: Chrissy Siggee and Diana Kay

The Palace of Poets is the home for The Cypress Times community of poets. This includes The Cypress Times contributing authors who are actively submitting their poems to The Cypress Times Palace of Poets section. It also includes our Social Network members who have not yet published their poems in The Cypress Times and seek advice and encouragement within a nurturing Christian environment from established and published poets.

The aim of the group is to encourage, share poetry experiences, try new ideas, seek advice, and to critique other poets work in a fair and supportive Christian manner. The Palace of Poets is a training fortress for poets to hone skills and those who desire to be published in The Cypress Times as a regular contributing author.

Experienced poets need to be willing to assist and nurture poets in the making and continue in their efforts to support TCT poetry section. This doesn't necessary mean a whole lot of work by the member for the group. If you add a poem, stop a few moments and read a poem added by another group member and add a critique. If critiquing is not your thing, just encourage.

Comment by Chrissy Siggee on October 18, 2009 at 10:02pm: On my return next week I'm going to attempt a FAQ discussion (frequently Asked Question) within the Palace Of Poets group. It will be design for anyone wanting to ask questions about having their own Palace Of Poetry page in the newspaper, publishing their poetry into book or e-book form, general poetry questions or grammar help. If I can't answer a questions, I'm sure there is a member of the group who can. If not I will research for someone who can.

In the mean time, start thinking about what questions you would like to ask.
