Women Care International

In January 2008, I had a near miss with death in my car. The incident caused enormous mental trauma which led to a period of depression. The Lord began to deal with me he said to me "if you had died in that accident what would you have achieved as a Chrisitan ?" this left me very sorrowful as I could not say that I had achieved anything significant for Christ. This led to a deep seeking for a fresh anointing and a new experience with my saviour. After much prayer and fasting Women Care International was birthed in the month of April 2008.

This ministry stands on the word of God and the foundation scripture is taken from Joel chapter 2 v 28-29, And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

What is the overall aim & objectives? To provide a forum for women from all walks of life both saved & unsaved to share their testimony, personal life experiences in order to help others

* Reaching out to ALL women who are hurting & broken

* Counsel and supporting women and providing a safe haven for them to share “openly”

* Building wholeness and balance, both spiritually and mentally, through consistent prayer and study of God's Word.

* Providing an atmosphere for women to develop their gifts, abilities, and form lasting relationships.

* Training women to find their places of ministry and effectively touch the world for Christ.

• To discuss pertinent health issues which are affecting women in the 21st Century (john 3 says beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as the soul prosperity.

So what does the acronym Care stand for?

The word CARE stands for Christ-centred, Accepted, Restored and Empowered.
As women of God Christ should be are main focus in everything we do. Women are very sensitive creatures and we need to feel accepted. Many of us have gone thorough a great deal of trauma throughout our lives and we need complete restoration. In essence we need to feel accepted, restored and empowered by the holy sprit.

The structure of our meetings consists of care cells which are the building blocks of the care ministry, where women are given the opportunity to share within a group in a confidential environment. Women are nurtured, restored and empowered through the body of Christ.

The Care Clinic is the second part of the structure allowing women to make an appointment on a one to one basis to have basic counselling and support. If individuals request they can be referred to other agencies for further support and help.

The third and final part of the structure consists of the careline which is a point of contact via, telephone, email, or letter, allowing women to talk to a member of the Care Team to request prayer, discuss issues affecting them personally.

The spirit of the Lord is upon because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound Isaiah 61:1) The Lord is calling all women for such a time as this to take our rightful places in Zion to do the master will. Please continue to pray for Women Care International, where every woman matters!

I don't want to step on Janet's toes here, but I wondered if the members of the group could share a little about themselves and what country they are from. Chrissy
