Where in the world, do you live?
UK
hello there everyone; I live in the UK . I have become intrested in writing and art in the past couple of years ,reconecting with my artistic side ,after many years in a scientific mindset . I have set up a poetry group and creative writing group on a UK based christian site (http://premiercommunity.org.uk . I am 50 years old married for 22 years, which is an acheivement in itself. I have 2 children but my older daughter died in March 2008 aged just 17. My younger daughter is now 15. I worked as a doctor for 25 years (18 yrs as a GP- family phyiscian I think you call them) I had to leave my job due to my daughters illness and because I developed stress/depression. BUT I know she is with the Lord. She is a christian ,as is my husband and other daughter and so I am very blessed. I belong to a very supportive church family . http://www.stonechurch.co.uk. I do not know what God has planned for me yet. I know that at the moment he wants to bring healing in my life. I find poetry and art are helping me in this.
I have recently become a contributing author on The cypress times and have a poetry page there in the Palace of Poets.
I am currently doing the final (dissertation) year of an Msc in International Primary care and am doing Education and Learning as my specialist subject. I plan to devise some teaching for Primarty care staff on the needs of people with Autism.

*Exciting News from the UK- launch of the first nationwide Christian Radio Station on 21st September*

I expect many of you in the USA are used to having christian radio and TV stations readily available to listen to 24 hrs. So you may be surprised to know that althoughit hasbeen possible to listen in the UK to some christian TV on the internet and SKY TV (which is subscription) it has been more difficult to listen to christian radio when you are driving in your car or at home away from the computer or the TV.
In London therehas been a wonderful christian radio station called Premier Christian ra… Continue

In the Garden of Tears (for 9/11)

In the garden of tears

Go very early into the garden
While the world still slumbers
Darkness covering like a blanket
The night air still heavy with God’s tears

Roll away Roll away
Eight long years as if yesterday
Lives changed in an instant
By mans inhumanity to man
Images replayed throughout history
Pain seared like a brand into hearts and minds

Darkness descended like a cloak
Stifling chocking suffering
Carefully crafted dreams come tumbling down
Shattered pieces of peoples lives
Lyi… Continue

Thank you, Diana, for all you do in Palace Of Poets. It has been great to work with you. I appreciate having you as part of the team. Your support means a lot to me. I look forward to having you part of the administration team in 2010.

There's going to be a change to a few of the groups in the New Year, and we'll probably meet at least one new administrator. I'm looking forward to placing that announcement in the Groups Administrators Support group in the next few weeks - before the news is announced in the particular groups, and the first Weekly Newsletter after New Year. I appreciate this team and I know you will continue to work together in harmony as we enter 2010. God bless.

We'll also be saying a sad goodbye to one of our favorites, but I'll place a separate discussion for that administrator next week so you can all share your farewells in one place.

I'd like to wish you all a very blessed Christmas and a safe and prosperous 2010.
